DEG Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet school and project/program eligibility requirements to qualify for a DEG.

SCHOOL ELIGIBILITY
All St. Louis City and County elementary, middle, and high schools (including public, private, parochial, faith-based, independent, charter, and homeschool groups) are eligible for a DEG if they meet the following criteria:

• In operation for at least three consecutive years

• Physically located in St. Louis City or St. Louis County

• If a 501(c)(3), a status of good standing

• Not having received a DEG within the last three years

• Ditto partner schools are not eligible to apply

PROJECT/PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
The following represents the type of initiatives that qualify for a DEG; it is not a complete list and aims only to illustrate the scope of DEG-eligible projects and programs:

• Small-scale projects (playground, technology, library enhancements, etc.)

• Educational programming or initiatives

• Student scholarships

• Student or teacher enrichment

• Extracurricular educational programs

• Non-consumable items that enhance learning

• We are unable to fund political advocacy projects
